WHAT IS CANON PHOTOMARATHON? The first CPM was held in Singapore in 2003. Encouraged by its excellent reception, the competition was extended to other parts of Asia. In 2017, CPM extended its footprint to Hong Kong, Taiwan, the Philippines, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia,Vietnam, India, Brunei, Cambodia, China and Sri Lanka, the competition was launched in a total of 12 countries and regions. What is a photomarathon? Photomarathons are a timed competition. A group of photographers are given a set of themes to take photos on. At the end of the available time the photographers submit a set of photos, one photo for each theme in the given order. The judges then choose the best photos and award prizes.
